Want to experience pure fun and the joy of creating - and helping others create, too!?!

That's our job - and we love it! But there is much more than just paint and clay...it's science, marketing, business operations, accounting and much more. Maybe you're not interested in all of these parts, but you'd like to learn more about particular parts...

Decoy Art Center is excited to offer volunteer and apprenticeship opportunities for ages 14-21 years. Students must have a genuine interest in the creative arts and/or be attending school for education, the arts or business management/marketing. These roles do require commitment - to be prompt for all shifts, have reliable transportation, and a friendly, upbeat attitude.

What is the difference in the roles? Volunteers can account for hours provided to help at community events and working with students to advance their art enrichment lessons. Volunteers are committed to specific shifts and can be a one-time commitment or on-going. Intern programs are developed per their school requirements with the studio management. Apprenticeships are available for those who are committed to working in either the studio arts or teaching. Apprentices are based on a 6 month commitment with a set schedule. They will work closely with a resident instructor as their mentor to develop an outline of learning and program outcomes.

Fill in the following information which will be reviewed the first Tuesday of every month. Availability is based on the upcoming schedule. We will email those who have availability that match the schedule needs. Due to volume and scheduling, please no phone calls.
